ABC - affected by cancer MENS group
abc was founded by a group of people affected by cancer. Our aim is to provide opportunities for people affected by cancer to meet in friendly, safe and relaxed surroundings.
We set up the men's group on 25th February 2010 as a new venture supported by three healthcare professionals from the Great Western Hospital. This targeted group gives men the opportunity of talking to other men, in the hope that they will be more at ease with their condition and find comfort and support
We are of all social ages from across a diverse community and welcome anyone affected by cancer within a culture where people are valued and respected for thier individual differences.
Future meetings planned in 2010:
- 15th April at The Navy Club, Harding Street
- 13th May, 10th June, 8th July, 9th September, 7th October, 4th November, 2nd December all at the Lawn Community Centre, Windsor Road
All the Mens meetings take place in the evening, 7:30pm - 9:30pm
