Age UK - Swindon HandyVan Service
Through our HandyVan service, Help the Aged provides peace of mind to older people by making their homes more safe and secure, thereby reducng the risk of loss through burglary.
Our service also undertakes small repair work or odd jobs within the home, but no electrical, plumbing or gas work. We can also provide and fit: smoke alarms; door chains; mortice locks; mortice bolts; window locks; carbon monoxide detector; door viewers; locks available for uPVC doors and windows. Some small repairs can also be carried out such as: removing and installing curtain rails; moving small furniture; replacing small panes of glass and broken WC seats; repairing small areas of rotting wood and garden fences; renewing bath sealants.
Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm.
We have one operational HandyVan Fitter in the Swindon area, with a fully-stocked HandyVan vehicle.

Areas covered are SN1, SN2, SN3, SN4, SN5, SN6, SN25 and SN26.
