FAB (wildFlowers and Butterflies)
FAB aims to promote nature in the urban environment, by making insect life abundant through establishing wild flower habitats, for the benefit of local communities in the Swindon area
The charity's name, FAB, is derived from the nectar supply that wildFlowers provide, essential to the life cycle of so many insects, of which Butterflies are the best known.
FAB believes that by establishing wildflower habitats, insects become abundant, providing more food for animals and birds, and increasing local biodiversity.
Wild flower habitats will also improve the local environment for human residents, particularly because many wild flowers are also much loved by people.
Wild flower habitats will thus nature to people's doorsteps and strengthen the role of nature in urban people's lives.
