HOMETRUTHS
HOMETRUTHS provides free services to anyone experiencing domestic violence and abuse, including stalking and harassment. Our staff are qualified IDVAs (Independent Domestic Violence Advocates) who are very experienced in providing effective individual and group work to survivors of domestic abuse.
We enable survivors to keep themselves safe, explore choices and options, and regain control over their lives. We accept referrals from all organisations,self referrals and referrals from friends , family or colleagues of the victim.
We provide a range of group support including the Freedom Programme,for female survivors, which runs weekly at a safe environment and has a free creche. Women come to the Freedom PROGRAMME feeling confused, guilty, ashamed and responsible. They leave with an understanding of domestic abuse with increasing confidence and self esteem, no longer feeling isolated.
NEWBEGINNINGS is a further group programme. We also training and consultancy and are developing our ISIS Volunteering project.
