Highworth Running Club

We are a small, friendly running club located in Highworth near Swindon, catering for runners of all ages and abilities

 

Whether you want to compete in races from 5K to Marathon or simply have a gentle jog and chat, you'll find someone to join in with.

Club members meet up at a variety of times and locations: -

  1. Wednesday evenings during the winter at the Vorda Playgroup (opposite Co-Op). The main group meets at 7:00 and there is also a 6:00 group for anyone new to running or who wants to ease back into it after a lay-off.
  2. During the summer we meet up at a series of local pubs for evening runs in the local countryside followed by a well earned drink and chat afterwards.
  3. We are currently offering Monday evening track sessions at the athletics track behind the County Ground in Swindon to help members develop speed and fitness.
  4. Individual groups get together at weekends either for social runs or perhaps to train for specific events such as half and full marathons.
  5. HRC enter a team into the local cross country league and there are always fellow members running in local races.

How to join

Our annual membership fee is £15 which includes the affiliation to UK Athletics which offers reduced entry fees to most races throughout the year.
