By any measure Kingsdown School is one of the most successful comprehensive schools in Swindon
Kingsdown School became a Technology College in September 2003 enabling learning to move forward using 21st century technologies. It is a single site mixed comprehensive school for students between 11 and 16 years of age. There are over 1270 students in the school.
Results from SATs and GCSEs, including value added scores, are always amongst the best in the South West.
Student Advisors support Year Leaders and the school has made great advances in its knowledge of each and every one of its students; teachers are provided with high quality information about the prior attainment of every student in their teaching groups.
Kingsdown is about much more than academic attainment, however important though this is. It is proud of the wide range of cultural, sporting and extracurricular activities that it offers and the large numbers of students who participate in them. Overall the school has established a strong reputation and we anticipate that it will form increasingly strong links with, and come to be an integral part of the community it serves.
