Solomon Training UK Ltd deliver maths, English and IT courses at various levels to adults(over 19)in the local community, and to staff in local businesses. The maths and English courses are FREE to anyone, but the IT programmes are only FREE to eligible learners, mainly jobseekers, who are over 19 and having resided in the UK for over 3 years. If someone is working they will have to pay the full cost for any IT course. Learners can either gain a nationally recognised qualification, or they can choose to complete separate modules. For example in IT, they could complete Word, Excel, Access or PowerPoint separately. The individual module way of learning would suit those who prefer to spread the whole IT qualification over a longer period of time. A full qualification takes three weeks to complete the Entry Level 3 Certificate in Using ICT or eight weeks to complete the BCS Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills, whereas each module takes just 3 - 7 days to complete, depending on the course level.
