Oliver Tomkins Junior School
Oliver Tomkins Junior School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England School serving the West Swindon Ecumenical Partnership and our local community in Freshbrook and Toothill. The school opened in 1980 with a separate Infant School opening next door in 1985.
There are currently 233 children on our roll. There are two classes for each year group, from Year Three to Year Six. The school is housed in two buildings - the original building, constructed around two courtyards with the school hall at the centre, contains four classrooms, the library and ICT suite. The new building, completed in 2005. contains four classrooms and a large shared area for teaching technology and working with groups of children.
We have extensive grounds which include a playing field, a wooded area, a conservation meadow, an outdoor classroom with seating and a large playground. We are hoping to install an activity trail during the summer of 2007.
