Swindon Borough Council owned Outdoor Education Centre providing activities in a friendly, fun and safe environment set in the superb scenery of the Brecon Beacons.
Opportunity to learn a whole range of outdoor skills: canoeing, expeditioning, exploring caves, abseiling, hill walking etc. The centre runs training programmes for those adults seeking to become instructors in their own right.
Open all year round.
100 bed residential outdoor centre based near Brecon in the Brecon Beacons, a 2 hour drive from Swindon.
We provide courses in climbing, caving, paddling, mountaineering, mountain biking and surfing. We also have advanced courses in White Water Canoeing and Kayaking (incl.SRT), Rock Climbing (inlc. leading and multi pitch climbs), Winter Mountaineering (incl. ice climbing), and gorge walking days with British based Canyon Moniteurs (Instructors). We also provide an expedition service addressing the planning, logistics and technical skills required for adventure trips at home and abroad.
The centre is staffed by 4 full time experienced and qualified teachers of Outdoor Education, complemented by 3 assistant instructors and a wide range of specialist supply staff. The staff have a wide range of high level qualifications in a wide range of outdoor activities.
We welcome young people, adults and school parties on our courses and activity programmes.
