Ramblers North-East Wiltshire Group
The Ramblers is Britain's biggest charity working to promote walking and to improve conditions for all walkers
With 135,000 members in England, Scotland and Wales, we've been working for walkers for 75 years. We want Britain to be a place where people choose to go walking. We want walking to be an enjoyable experience for all, whether in the countryside or in town, on gentle paths or challenging hillsides.
We believe that walking contributes to health and well-being and supports a more sustainable way of life. We are dedicated to working both for better quality walking environments and to making walking more accessible to all.
North-East Wiltshire group organises walks which typically range from 3 to 15 miles, and from easy to strenuous. We walk every Sunday (sometimes offering a choice of two walks) and on many Saturdays as well. We also have a few walks on weekday evenings, mainly in the summer, usually finishing with an optional pub meal.
We extend a warm welcome to all new walkers, visitors and guests. Why not try us for a few weeks without any commitment. If you like what you see, then you are more than welcome to join us. The Ramblers annual membership fee amounts to just over 50p per week.
