Richard Jefferies Museum

The Richard Jefferies Museum is the birthplace of victorian writer and journalist Richard Jefferies, this Grade 2 listed building houses a museum dedicated to this author.

Ground floor is accessible to wheelchair users. The first and second floors are reached by very narrow and uneven stairs (no lift).

May - September: Open from the first Sunday in May and every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month until middle of September, 2pm-5pm and for 2010 also open every 4th Sunday May - September. Open all year round on 2nd Wednesday of every month from 10am - 4pm. The nearest car park is located at Coate Water Country Park, approx. 5mins walk from the museum. The Sun Inn bus and coach stop, is 10 metres from the museum gate. Admission is free.
