Stratton St Margaret Youth Club
Stratton St Margaret Parish Council is working in partnership with Swindon Borough Youth Services by providing funding for two youth workers to run up to two sessions a week for the 10 – 13years olds
The young people will work towards their Adventure Service Challenge Award.
The aim of this partnership is not only to allow the young people to work to an accredited scheme but to engage and promote volunteering within the community, for both young people and adults.
The sessions are held at Meadowcroft Community Rooms, Thursday evenings, 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
The type of sessions available
Cookery – Know about healthy eating, prepare, cook and serve a simple, attractive and nutritious two course meal.
Interests – Pursue an interest for three months.
Service – Give a specific service to Your Neighbour for at least ten hours over three months.
Shield: Codes of life – Explore some of the codes of life which help people decided how to live their lives.
Rambling – Know how to prepare for and look after yourself on a five mile (8km) ramble. Know “The Country Code”.
First Aid – Know the principles of First Aid in relation to emergencies.
