Swindon Advocacy Movement (SAM)

The Swindon Advocacy Movement, affectionately referred to as SAM is an independent charity who provides free advocacy for individuals with a learning disability in Swindon.

We support people through periods of change in their lives; those who cannot make themselves heard and enable people to get the services and help they need to improve the quality of their lives.

  • We help people to understand their rights and get what they are entitled to.
  • We help people who are on their own, receiving a service that is not right for them.
  • Give people support and encouragement to speak up for themselves.
  • Find an advocate they can get on well with, a person that understands them and knows what they need.
