To improve the quality of life for people with a learning disability by: supporting social and leisure development, providing information and 'signposting', campaigning for better services and providing financial support within strict criteria. FROM 31ST MARCH 2011 SWINDON & DISTRICT MENCAP WILL CEASE TO EXIST. IT'S WORK WITH THE SOCIAL CLUB (SWINDON GATEWAY) WILL CONTINUE UNDER A CHARITABLE TRUST AND WILL BE CALLED "TWENY10".
