Swindon IA (Swindon Ileostomy Association)

Swindon IA (Swindon Ileostomy Association) is a friendly, local patient support group for people who have had, or who are about to have, invasive bowel surgery resulting in an ileostomy, colostomy or an internal pouch.

We are a a UK registered charity (1038734) and organise fund raising events throughout the year to finance our charitable objectives.

We meet socially at least three times a year, currently in Lawn Community Centre, Swindon.

Members receive seven informative ostomy magazines annually plus local newsletters.

We have very close links with the Great Western Hospital and the specialist stoma care nurse team and strive to help them to help us. This has included finance for specialist nurse training,  production of an acclaimed patient information DVD and the donation of thousands of pounds of medical equipment and services.

Annual membership subscription is £8 for those under 60 and £5 for those aged 60 and over.
