Swindon Rugby Club

Swindon is a long established club currently running three senior teams and a growing junior section. The club achieved the RFU Seal of in April 2008.

The club leases its ground and is the only rugby club located within the Swindon Council boundary. The club has strong links with the local community and the ground and clubhouse are used to stage other sport community events.

The club will target both the local schools colleges and the local community to increase the senior playing strength from 60 to 100 and junior players from 200 to 250.

The development of new changing rooms will pave the way for us to start a junior girls section. The intention is to have a U14 team in place for 2012

A marketing plan will be developed both to contribute to player recruitment and to increase sponsorship opportunities to support both senior and junior development.

To support the Whole Club Development Plan the current club management will be reviewed. The objective will be to bring together the junior and senior committees to inspire all club members and its officers to deliver the plan and provide a sustainable management team.
