Swindon Table Tennis League (STTL)
Promoting the sport of table tennis as an all-inclusive sport, available to people of all ages, sex, ethical and religious backgrounds and to promote the spirit of sportsmanship and competition.
League and Team Cup competitions are held during the season, and End of Season Events (Singles and Doubles) are held every year. The League 'Closed' Tournaments are temporarily suspended but have been held in previous years.
There is a number of TT clubs in Swindon that make up the League, which have different meeting days and times. see website for details on dates/times and locations.
The Clubs within the STTL have their own facilities and equipment to play the sport of table tennis - tables, nets, barriers etc - and these have been lent to other organisations such as Swindon New College in the past to enable them to hold table tennis tournaments.
STTL is affiliated to the Wiltshire TT League and the English TT Association. There are also a number of nationally registered coaches and umpires within our organisation to assist with developing youngsters and running local and national competitions.
The League covers the area of Swindon, including Chiseldon, and spreads as far north as Buckland, as far south as Lockeridge, and as far west as Christian Malford.
Each club will charge on a different basis, In addition there is a cost of £40 per team and £4 per player to join the League structure subject to ratification from the STTL Management Committee. These amounts are also subject to change.
There are no restrictions on the age of participants.
