Swindon University of the Third Age (U3A)

Swindon U3A provides learning opportunities in the Swindon area for those who are no longer in full-time employment.

The first British U3A was established in Cambridge in 1982; Swindon U3A was launched in 1987.

Despite the title, most U3As have no formal links with Universities.  The word “University“ is used in its original sense of a group of people coming together to learn for pleasure.  No academic qualifications are necessary to join and none are awarded.
