Thamesdown Dial A Ride
Group Travel, Shopperbus, Dial A Ride Car, Access Car, Minibus. A door-to-door transport service using vehicles which are fully accessible and can carry wheelchair users in comfort and safety, for people who have difficulty using public transport due to permanent or temporary disability. Fares are comparable to other local bus rates. Swindon concessionary travel vouchers or National travel tokens accepted. An Access Car is also available to hire for a few hours, a day, weekend or a weeks holiday - seats a driver plus four passengers, one of whom can travel in a wheelchair, call 01793 617282 to enquire. We aim to run one or two day trips per month, a list is available on the website. Previous day trips have included visits to seaside resorts, shopping centres, nurseries and garden centres, places of historical interest.
All of our vehicles have been specially adapted to make them accessible to wheelchair users.
Travel: Monday to Friday: 7.45am - 6.30pm; Saturday: 9am - 6.30pm. To register or find out more about these services please phone after 12 noon, Monday to Friday.

If you have some spare time and enjoy driving you could help by becoming a volunteer minibus or car driver. TDARCT are members of MiDAS and offer an accredited training and assessment scheme for minibus driving. MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme, supported by the Community Transport Association, UK (CTA), which promotes a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers.
