Volunteer Gardeners
Swindon has over 150 parks and green spaces that need maintaining. The Swindon Volunteer Gardeners group is run in conjunction with the Parks Department.
You will also be working in conjunction with our highly skilled head gardeners who have many years of experience. We regularly meet in Queens Park and Town Gardens where we undertake general maintenance duties
The normal work times start at 10 am and finish at approximated 2 pm, although you are free to turn up and leave when it suites you best with in these times. The work is physical and you need to be able to cross rough terrain and have good physical movement
There are also oportunities to help us promote our parks and open spaces, we are looking to involve as many people as possible in the design of promotional materials such as leaflets or the website.
