Wanborough Playgroup
We aim to keep daily life at Playgroup as interesting, inspirational and varied as possible. We encourage visitors to come in and talk about their job or an aspect of life that would be of interest. Lynn Hawkins, from Swindon Music Services visited us in February and taught the children a song from Israel which they sang in Hebrew. They learnt to beat time on drums as well as singing the words to Tumba. Lyn will be coming back to visit us after Easter. We look forward to one of her colleagues visiting us shortly with his brass instruments.
Once or twice a year Playgroup organises day outings. We always do our best to negotiate group discounts and parents are encouraged to attend. Our last summer outing was to the Cotswold Wildlife Park where we enjoyed lovely weather as well as looking at all the animals!
Some days at Playgroup will be entirely devoted to a special activity, such as sport’s day, a nativity play, a Christmas party with a visit from Father Christmas or an end of academic year party (where those who will be leaving for Reception class at Primary School will be presented with a year photo and a book detailing their time at Playgroup).
